Datorn klättrar ut ur sitt skal och börjar värma upp sina vingar.

ALESSANDRO CAPOZZO & KATJA NOPPES (IT): EXUVIA [2006]
Dragonflies spend a long time in their larval form – in some cases this stasis could go on for many years - they are exceptional predators of other larvae and insects. This installation renders visible the moment when leaving the larval form and living only for few days in a state of graceful ephemeral euphoria.

ALESSANDRO CAPOZZO (b. 1970, Milan, Italy) is a media artist and designer, he studied musicology and also pursued his own interest in composition and electronic music. Currently he is focused on digital arts and particularly on software poetics. His personal research is focused on creating generative / interactive aesthetic software and media installations.
KATJA NOPPES (b. 1967, Starnberg, Germany) received her graduate degree in scene design at the Academy of fine Arts Brera (Milan) in 1992. Starting at the beginning of the 1990’s with video she drifted to examine painting and studies on materials, seen as translator of our body extension. Her work could be seen as an archive of authentic signs of life traces, showing a subtle side of our accelerated perception.
