In an age of emerging private space travel, of virtual living in Second Life on the internet, to turn today to a small planet circling the Earth is perhaps not so unusual for two contemporary artists.
Using graphics and language appropriated from real estate internet ads, the artists advertise apartment complexes and condos on the moon. Virtual reality takes on a new meaning when compositing architectural renderings of luxury apartments on the moon. This is the kind of satire that turns real estate jargon inside out.

NORA LIGORANO AND MARSHALL REESE have collaborated together as Ligorano/ Reese since the early 80’s. After 20 years of collaboration, Ligorano/Reese stress intercommunication to integrate their talents into a singular voice; the boundaries between their conceptual contributions all but disappeared. > Their work combines and dissects media by manipulating images from print, television and audio from the internet and radio.
