STUDENTS FROM THE ESPOO SCHOOL OF ARTS
SAMI KEKKONEN, BENJAMIN EKMAN & OTSO JYLHÄ (FI): INSTALLATIONS [2008]
We find that these installations, from the students of the Espoo School of Arts, are playful and game like when: in the blink of an eye we can step into a violent cityscape within “City Tour” by Sami Kekkonen, we are given the possibility to drive a car through molten lava streams in a 3D game by Otso Jylhä, or make fitness fun; by stimulating our senses and heart when controlling videos with a fitness bike by Benjamin Ekman. These students have been mentored by Visual Artist Riku Mäkinen.
