“Sound Generated Video Modules for Single Channel Output” (2005 – in progress) is an open series of sound generated/aided audio-video modules, conceived for videoinstallation free (re)composition. Looking to op-art as well to geometric abstraction and minimalism, MOD513 (2007) aims to perform sound generated visual data as pure dynamic abstraction.

LORENZO OGGIANO (b. 1964, Padova, Italy) works in photography, video, new media, installations, assemblages. He graduated in visual arts (BA) at the University of Bologna (D.A.M.S.) with a final thesis on the relationship between arts and new technologies: Contemporary arts and technological interaction: the bodies of mutation. Since the early nineties Oggiano is engaged in an artistic and theoretical research concerning the biological, sensorial and cognitive mutations induced by new technologies, and the aesthetic and communicative potentiality of new media tools. He lives
and works in Sassari, Italy.
