Brandon Blommaert grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He studied Print Media at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary. He currently works in animation, still images and sounds in Calgary.
Cartes Centre of Art and Technology Espoo operates mainly within the fields of electronic and media art, aural and visual. The role of Cartes is critically productive, by presenting site specific projects as well as ‘traveling’ productions it strives to challenge interdisciplinary encounters between the many actors of culture and technology. The Foundation of Art and Technology, Espoo, that governs Cartes was established in 1989 by the City of Espoo, Helsinki University of Technology and Sibelius Academy.
