Festival of New Media Art 13 – 24 October 2010

Cartes Flux 2010 – Festival of New Media Art presents a collection of Finnish and international experimental and innovative new media art works with a fresh and unique approach. The festival is hosted by Cartes Centre of Art and Technology Espoo.

The Fourth Cartes Flux takes place in October 13th – 24th 2010. The Festival program consists of installations, screenings, artist talks, workshops and concerts. The main festival venues are Exhibition Centre WeeGee and Kino Tapiola in Espoo, as well as the Cable Factory in Helsinki.

Cartes Centre of Art and Technology Espoo operates mainly within the fields of electronic and media art, aural and visual. The role of Cartes is critically productive, by presenting site specific projects as well as ‘traveling’ productions it strives to challenge interdisciplinary encounters between the many actors of culture and technology. The Foundation of Art and Technology, Espoo, that governs Cartes was established in 1989 by the City of Espoo, Helsinki University of Technology and Sibelius Academy.
